Mother's Day Skype Session

For families of missionaries, Mother's Day & Christmas are the two best days of the year.  It was great to see and talk with Krystina.  She truly seems 100% settled into missionary work and happy to be doing the Lord's work.  Her missionary experience has deepened her spiritual maturity as it has increased her understanding of the gospel and challenged her in many ways.  It's easy to feel the love she has for the people, for her companions past and present, and for us.  She sincerely wants to do her best to work hard and help others come closer to the Savior.  She (and all of us) are excited to see what the next 3 months hold for her.

Elder Bailey

Elder Bailey, a wonderful missionary from Richfield, Utah, passed away after being struck by a car.  He and Krystina were good friends; she refers to him as her "son" from Karlskrona.  Luckily President Newell made it possible for Krystina to attend the memorial service for Elder Bailey.  She was so grateful to be there to show her love and respect for this great young man.  We join Krystina and the other missionaries in praying for Elder Bailey's family.
